Isabella dela Cruz

Raised in Marikina, Isabella dela Cruz is the grand daughter of renowned artist Lydia Velasco. Currently a 4th year student at the University of the Philippines, College of Fine Arts, Majoring in Visual Communication. 

From preschool until high school, she has always been chosen to represent her school in the NCR-wide competitions in both art and editorial writing. She also won third place in  Hewlett-Packard’s Write and Read Contest 2012, 10th place in Editorial Writing of Liyab 2016 and 2nd place in Junior Philippine Geographical Society’s  Poster Making Contest in 2017. Her dedication to the school publishing earned her the role of Editor-in-Chief and was awarded Journalist of the Year in 2018. 

Her interest in art has been fostered from a very age being surrounded by creative family members of all mediums and themes. She cites that 80’s shoujo media, retro video games, and childhood picture books are one of her main influences.
