Ally Hernandez Publico is a writer and artist based in Metro Manila. Her artwork revolves around themes of mental health, illness, storybooks, and nostalgia. She took her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts at UP Diliman where she now is taking her Masters in Clinical Psychology. She dreams of becoming an art therapist in the future.
Ally published her first book in 2016 on losing her mother to cancer, called “Five Years.” Her experiences with grief, loss, and depression have led her to conduct support groups under a program called Sailing Through. She also collaborates with HOPE Worldwide Philippines on mental health projects and research for abused children.
