From Manila, Philippines
Born May 1962
At a very young age, Stephanie has been adept at painting in both oil and watercolor. After watching her paint, distinguished artist Juvenal Sansó touted her as one of the 10 most outstanding child artists of the Philippines.
She eventually pursued a degree in Fine Arts becoming a licensed interior designer and art educator and found herself teaching History of Art and Art Production at the secondary and collegiate levels spanning 21 years; she is also a playwright, lyricist, and stage director.
But the muse of all her talents remains to be painting. It is in painting that all her talents truly come together. The palpable emotions in her highly tactile and visually textured acrylics speak of the depth of her life experiences, creative imagination, and an inventive mind. Indeed, her paintings speak louder than her words ever could.
In 2016, she went full circle when she was invited to exhibit alongside Juvenal Sansó at his yearlong series of exhibits of his 70 Years Retrospective in Art held at the Sansó Museum.
Stephanie has participated in several group shows and art auctions in Manila, Philippines. Her works are collected locally as well as abroad.
Her most recent online benefit exhibits, Hilom and Muling Paghilom unveiled in the midst of the COVID19 pandemic is a testament to her faith in the healing power of the arts.
