For more than a decade, Alex Ibardolaza had worked as a 2D animator in various studios here in the Philippines, particularly in PASI (Philippine Animation Studio, Incorporated), Fil-Cartoons, and Toon City, as well as in other countries, namely Vietnam and India wherein he experienced supervising Indian animators. He also once worked in Hanna-Barbera and Walt Disney Production during those years. He's currently a self-taught visual artist and an active member of some art groups such as AAP, Art Wednesday, Aquarellists, and Walls Artists Community. He has been joining different group exhibits, art auctions, and competitions.
Alex was also awarded as one of the "Natatanging Pintor na Taga-taguyod ny Sining Biswal" and ranked 3rd in the BaKuSi (Bahay Kubo ng Sining) Competition, which was held in the Insular Life Auditorium, Alabang.
In 2016, he had his first one-man show, "Child's Play," held at The Artologist, Tiendesitas. He was once a market vendor at an early age while striving hard to be a good student as well. This has become one of his strengths in the art industry, mirroring vendors' lives by illustrating them through painting. Aside from that, he is also known for producing joyful and positive artworks with bright and lively colors that have captured the hearts of many.
