Being the son of the late visual artist Cesar T. Hernandez, is one of the most gratifying things for Aries "Arz" Hernandez. His father had set a high standard for him to be the best in his craft. Born and raised in Angono, Rizal, Arz got exposed to his father's work and eventually became his father's apprentice, even at his young age. He competed in various art contests when he was in primary and secondary school in Angono, and even when he was in college at the Technological Institute of the Philippines, where he took Marine Engineering.
In 1991, he attended the Art Workshop under the guidance of Prof. Fernando Sena, the Father of the Philippine Art Workshop, to further his craftsmanship. His various commissioned paintings showcased his artistic and production skills, which made him known to some known families in Rizal towns. He has also accomplished exemplary works in sculpture and wall mural painting, aside from his masterpieces on canvas. Arz had participated in numerous Group Exhibits where he presented his signature Transparent Cubism (TransCube) style. His May 2022 Solo Exhibit, "TRANSQUBE", in Angono, Rizal's Balatas Gallerie, masterfully showcased his style. Assisted by an equally good artist, Dolpee Alcantara, Aries Hernandez' most recent commissioned work was a 5-foot-by-15-foot relief sculpture in Bo's Coffee, located in Urdaneta City. Pangasinan. Aries Hernandez is a son who has become a torch that still lights up his father's legacy.
