6 Artworks
Biography
Celine grew up surrounded by art with her paternal grandfather being the famous art patron Alfonso T. Ongpin, whose extensive collection included the works of Masters Luna, Amorsolo, Pineda, and de la Rosa. Celine is also a direct descendant of Damian Domingo, known as the Father of Philippine Painting. She apprenticed under her grand aunt, Caledonia Ongpin-Villacorta, named Grandma Moses of the Philippines. She was also invited to work under the tutelage of National Artist Cesar Legaspi. She refers to herself as a weekend painter, having to juggle roles as a wife (sadly her beloved husband Rodolfo Menes passed away in 2022), mother, grandmother, artist, and CEO of Infinite Forest, a Design and Development Company. She paints still life and flora often using watercolor acrylics, colored pencils, and chalk pastels.
