Biography
Chester Ocampo, born on February 21, 1965, in Quezon City, holds an AB in Communication Arts and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Santo Tomas, where he is also a licensed professional art teacher. With 17 years of experience teaching Art Theory and Studio Arts at the Manila Waldorf International School, he is currently engaged in teaching Contemporary Philippine Arts, Music, Arts and Design at the Senior High School, and Philippine Art History at the College of Fine Arts and Design within the University of Santo Tomas.
Over the years, he has actively participated in more than 20 group exhibits, alongside hosting solo showcases such as “My Trees,” “Kampilan kong Kahoy,” and “Garden Seekers.” Recognized for his contributions, he is honored to have received the Anvil award for Advertising and Public Relations and to be named The Outstanding Thomasian Alumnus Awardee for Visual Arts. Additionally, he serves as the adviser of the UST-SHS Atelier, holds a key position in the Professional Art Restorers Society of the Philippines and Asia, and finds immense joy in uniting his passion for art and teaching.
