A self-taught artist, Dolpee started painting when he was in High School. He slightly diverted his endeavor when he studied Architecture at the Technological Institute of the Philippines. Moreover, his passion for the visual arts became more apparent along with his studies.
His frisky and Imaginative ideas, interpreted through dots, lines, and cubes, brought forth his signature STYLIZED POINTILLISM. The ever-changing life and the vivid colors of nature, which depict different emotions, are mostly the subject of Dolpee's masterpieces, both in oil and acrylic on canvas and even on board.
Dolpee Alcantara was one of the founding members of the Junior Angono Ateliers Association. He is now the Vice President [On Exhibition] of the Angono Ateliers Association. All because of his perseverance and passion, Dolpee has already had more than 10 solo exhibits and countless group exhibits here in the Philippines and abroad.
