Emmanuel Silva

Emmanuel Silva is a full-time artist and accomplished photographer from Lipa City, Batangas, specializing in watercolor painting. His subjects range from floral and botanical paintings to landscapes. His interest lies in the beauty of nature and living things in the environment, which he captures and paints in watercolor. He considers his work "a commentary on the matters of life," often embodied in the style of realism—a personification of his works, finding expression and reflection in mundane things from a philosophical point of view of existentialism. His work has been exhibited both locally and abroad. He was also deemed a top finalist in the Universal Watercolor Exposition at the Zhuji Watercolor Museum, a world competition in contemporary watercolor art. He has actively participated in group shows and watercolor exhibitions locally, such as Gallery Genesis' Kulay sa Tubig, where he was awarded twice as the grand prize winner in 2019 and 2023. He regularly holds online and on-site watercolor classes, covering topics on florals and landscape painting.
