Biography
Esther Sevilla Garcia is from Quezon City. She graduated Cum Laude in 1998 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts major in Painting from the UP College of Fine Arts, Diliman, Quezon City.
She has had four solo shows and more than 120 good group shows from 1994 to the present. She was awarded the Manila Bay-ani award by well-known environmentalist groups from Madrid, Normandy, Washington, DC, Singapore, and the Philippines for depicting the beauty of clean Manila Bay in the Dynamic Group Exhibit at Solaire Resorts and Casino in June 2019. The recognition was given on September 19, 2020, World Clean Up Day, at the Manila Yacht Club.
She is the founder and current president of the Dynamic Art Group, an active member of the UP College of Fine Arts Alumni Association Inc., Art Wednesday Group, Artsiklab UP Batch 94, Amber Group, and Kasibulan. She has been a member of the Tuesday Group and the Filipino Portrait Artist Guild, as well as one of the directors of the Art Discovery and Learning Foundation.
Esther draws inspiration from her travels, family, and friends. She is passionate about painting and creates artwork based on her heart's desires. She is not afraid to experiment with new techniques and subject matter. People around her love her because of her positive perspective and attitude towards life.
For Esther, art is a gift from above. She believes that for every blessing we receive, we should be thankful and share our talents. By sharing, we not only enrich others but also attract more talents to ourselves.
