Biography
Jamaila Arrojado is an emerging visual artist whose work centers on portraiture rendered
in soft pastel and mixed media. Her practice is guided by an impressionist sensibility,
focusing on atmosphere, emotion, and subtle human expression through layered textures
and expressive color. Drawing from years of personal exploration and early mentorship, her
works reflect an intuitive and deeply felt approach to visual storytelling.
Her artistic foundation was formed at an early age when she took art classes under Master
Fernando Sena, widely recognized as the Father of the Philippine Art Workshop, at the age
of seven. This formative experience nurtured her lifelong connection to the arts. Although
she has no formal academic training in fine arts, her sustained practice and early guidance
continue to shape her creative voice. She has only recently begun participating in art
exhibitions, marking a significant new phase in her artistic journey.
Beyond her work as an artist, Jamaila is a mother of three boys, a pianist, and a
businesswoman engaged in real property management. Formerly a Registered Nurse in Los
Angeles, she transitioned from the healthcare industry into the world of real estate. Her life
experiences across art, music, entrepreneurship, and family inform her practice, while she
actively encourages her children’s involvement in art and music, fostering creativity within
her household.
