Biography
Jesson Buco's humble beginnings in the visual arts started in 2017 in his home town of Camanga, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur. He experimented with oil as his medium, then gradually evolved his craft over the years. He eventually discovered his own techniques and was determined to improve his style and to have his own voice in his works.
He joined some art competitions, such as the Garden Of Arts(GOA) Pagadian painting competition held at Pagadian City and garnered 1st place. He also won the Artwork Sharing(AWS) online Competition last 2019. Because of his success in these art competitions, he was invited to a number of exhibits.
Jesson loves to paint landscapes to portray the scenic beauty of his surroundings and at the same time advocate for environmental protection. He depicts landscapes to remind his audience of the beauty of nature, to encourage us to preserve our natural resources.
Buco believes that he was "created to create", and born to be an artist.
