Jorge Fuedan Jr.

Jorge Fuedan Jr. is a Filipino mixed-media visual artist and professional seafarer whose unique background bridges maritime life and contemporary art. Originally from Bicol (Bulusan, Sorsogon) and later moved to North Caloocan.

 

 

Dual Career: The Sailing Artist
While he maintained a lifelong passion for art, Fuedan pursued a career in the maritime industry, serving as a Chief Officer for the Dóhle-Seafront manning, Inc. His formal resurgence into painting happened unexpectedly during the COVID-19 pandemic. While spending a mandatory week-long quarantine in a hotel before boarding his ship, he picked up a brush and pencil out of boredom and created his very first seascape painting.

 

 

Style, Career Milestones, and Recognition: Fuedan’s distinct experiences at sea heavily influence his art portfolio, which spans seascapes, landscapes, realism, and abstract forms. He uses vintage map charts for his masterpiece.

 

 

Major Exhibitions: His masterpieces have risen to prominence through the drybrush Gallery. His work has been exhibit/displayed at major physical locations, including the MOA Art Gallery in early 2026 named "Charted Horizon" featuring the "Beach to Remember" series.

Media Coverage: His unconventional journey was spotlighted by The Manila Times magazine in a September 2022 feature titled "Seafarer rediscovered love for Art".

 

 

Corporate Acclaim: His piece titled "Homeport" achieved international visibility when it was selected as the official cover page for the Döhle corporate office in Germany.
