Biography
Marlon Constantino, born in the town of General Mariano Alvarez (G.M.A) Cavite on October 18, 1981, has been a chess enthusiast and player since he was a kid. He's a member of the varsity team in Cavite when he was in elementary and high school. He was able to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at the Philippine Christian University as a member of the NCAA chess team at that time. Marlon was able to compete in several competitions as a professional chess player, bringing home gold medals and trophies. He was also given the chance to compete internationally, and their team apparently won the gold medal in the 32nd Astro Rapid International Open Team Chess Championship in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2012.
In 2014, he was also granted the opportunity to compete in Singapore for the World Cup Amateur Chess Championship. During the pandemic, Marion was able to uncover another aspect of himself, the Artist. As a chess aficionado, he was able to produce paintings based on his beloved game's concepts. His art consists of abstract paintings on canvas using acrylic paint, specializing in modern chess art impressions.
