Myk Peñamora went to the College of Fine Arts in U.P. Diliman in 1994 and is now a creative director of their multi-media company, Sound Images MultiMedia Services, for almost 20 years. After an 8-year stint as one of the top team leaders in their account in the BPO industry, both in NCO and VXI, he went back to his passion, which is arts and photography.
He has been doing digital murals on stickers, sintra board, and acrylic for Veterans Bank branches and their roving exhibit. His AVs, scale models, and digital murals were also a big part of some museums that were put up around the country, such as the Bahay Tsinoy Museum in Intramuros, the Barasoin Church Museum in Bulacan, the Ocampo Museum in Taguig, the former NHI Museum in T.M. Kalaw, and one in Puerto Princesa.
During the pandemic, Myk decided to study and practice vector art and animation for his page and YouTube channel, Mikoy Avenue. He is also trying to hone his painting skills and getting interested in 3D printing. With the formation of their new art group, ArtSiklab, and with the encouragement of his previous batchmates, Myk will surely develop this new style he has been working on, which is digital images printed on acrylic.
