Rading Caringal

Rading Caringal, born in Lemery, Batangas, and later settling in Angono, Rizal, is a self-taught painter whose works are admired for their gentle brushstrokes and cool color palette that evoke serenity and harmony. Immersed in the vibrant traditions of Angono, the “Art Capital of the Philippines,” he developed his artistry through intuition, experimentation, and the influence of fellow painters, without formal training. His subjects, ranging from landscapes and everyday life to abstract forms, are rendered with sensitivity and emotional resonance, offering viewers tranquil spaces of reflection.

Caringal has participated in more than 100 group exhibitions and has been an active member of the Angono Ateliers Association, serving as its president on three occasions. His works were featured in the 2022 AAA Online Exhibit, where peers praised not only his artistry but also his generosity and leadership. Beyond painting, he supports the local art community through his home-based business, DJR Frames, which provides quality frames to fellow artists and strengthens Angono’s creative network.
