Roy Abihay

Rosauro G. Abihay's family roots are from Bicol, particularly in Virac, Catanduanes. He is known as Roy Abihay on Facebook and operates Baroyskie Arts Studio on his art page. He uses Baroyskie as his company name, specifically for his Art Class that offers a 10-day basic to advanced painting tutorial. He serves as an Art Coach & mentor for all levels and conducts classes at his residence in Lancaster Estate, Imus, Cavite. He is a self-taught artist who embraces both Classical and Modern Contemporary approaches in the arts.

His journey in art began in high school, where he developed a fascination for portraiture. However, his true passion in canvas painting lies in landscape artworks.

Today, he is renowned for creating contemporary surrealism art. He strives to portray the unseen and infuse drama into his subjects using his unique art style known as the "reverse metal point technique" in oil painting.

He is actively involved in the City of Imus Tourism project, leading the group in their annual Mural Collaborations project and Kids painting tutorials at Imus Plaza since 2019. He also represents IMUS TOURISM BEAUTY PAGEANT with his gown painting, showcasing the heritage of Imus City. Additionally, he volunteers for LUNAS CANCER WARRIOR kids, donating a portion of his art tutorial sales since 2017. He serves as an Art Class Teacher/Coach and is the founder and president of Kids Arts in the City, organizing painting caravans in Lancaster Estate and serving as the Art Club President since 2018.

He believes that talent knows no age; the old and the young are equal. It's not always the strong who survives, but often the one who knows how to adapt. To adapt doesn't mean changing your art style, but rather enhancing it. He finds joy in painting all the time, knowing that it will pay off in the end.
