Biography
Yasto, formally known as Jojie Yasto Arroyo, has been creating hand-painted barongs for their family’s embroidery business since he was young. Up until a Dubai-based Filipino Hollywood fashion designer offered him the opportunity to work with the Michael Cinco Team as one of his artists.
It was in Dubai when Yasto met Jesus and his life was transformed for the better. Soon after, he met his wife, who has now taken over the business side of his art. As former OFWs exploring digital art opportunities during the height of the pandemic, Yasto held online Floral Illustration Workshops, pursued photography and videography through YastoStudio until he launched his Floral Painting Collection in 2021.
From then on he started believing that there was a chance to make a mark on the local art industry. His works are mostly abstract impressionist, particularly floral and prophetic art.
Together with his wife, they envision to equip young Filipino aspiring artists with the proper mindset so that they can pursue art not just for fulfillment, but also for a living.
