Crisanto Matias Antonio is a self-taught artist born in Villasis, Pangasinan in 1966. During his elementary and high school days, he was active in joining art and poster-making contests and always ended up a winner. After graduating from high school, he worked as an artist at a well-known car accessories dealer in San Juan. After resigning, he set up a small Advertising and Art Shop in Santa Maria, Bulacan, as a source of income. A friend then invited him to join the Artist Guild of Santa Marin, where he further developed his skills by participating in group exhibits and contests. He is a member of Lakan Sining ng Bulacan (former Board member and PRO), the Philippine-China Art Painting Association Inc., and the Asia Pacific Art Painters United Association Inc. He was elected as a member of the Board of Directors for both groups and the Art Association of the Philippines.
