Edgar Santiago studied Fine Arts at the University of Santo Tomas and has been working as a graphic artist since 1970. Utilizing his favorite mediums, gouache and acrylic, he painted ancestral houses in the 1980s and 1990s, capturing every detail and distinctive character. Additionally, he creates landscapes and still life paintings. His landscapes are the result of experimentation, combining computer technology with traditional processes. He has also ventured into a new concept and style with his stylized tree series. Currently, his mountain series paintings are receiving great success.
For forty years, Santiago worked as an assistant to Malang Santos on graphic designs. He has held two one-man shows in the 1990s showcasing ancestral houses and has participated in various group shows. In 1998, he emerged as the winner of a nationwide logo contest commemorating Philippine independence.
He is a member of Lakan Sining ng Bulacan, Philippine Artists Pastel, and presently serves as the President of the Bulakan Artists Circle.
