Since childhood, Edgardo knew he was gifted. He is not only an artist but he is also a musician. He played the clarinet at the University of Sto. Tomas Brass Band for his scholarship. In 1982, his first experience as an artist started at the Ayala Museum sponsored by the Ayala Foundation, Inc. He learned the technique in watercolor painting under the supervision of watercolorist Mr. Elmer Gernale. In 1987, he worked in a well-known graphic design studio and later moved to the corporate world as head of the advertising department. After that, he worked as an associate for graphic design for Architect Albert S. Yu and later, he established his own graphic design business for a number of companies. While doing graphic design and digital works, he joined the competitions among them are the Breakthrough Digital Art Competition 2007 which he was one of the finalists, the 1st Philippine Graphic Design Awards, where he won merit awards, and finalist in 2010 with ad agencies joining in that competition. In 1998, he won 1st place Ramon Orlina Trophy at the Philippine Centennial Decor Competition held at Cultural Center of the Philippines. After a few years, he moved to the Caribbean Islands. He worked as a contract graphic designer and illustrator in
