Felicidad, or Fely, as she is called by her family and friends is the sixth child of parents Melania and Jose Velasco, who were both painters. When they were young, her father would often get something simple as drift wood from the nearby Manila Bay and would make a toy out of it to give to his children.
Being an artist is in the bloodline, but it wasn’t until she was in her late 40s that she discovered her talent for painting. She was encouraged to paint by her eldest sister Lydia Velasco. As a hopeless romantic, she is drawn to the beauty of flowers and love that they signify.
