Janina Sanico was born in Taguig Metro Manila but raised in Tanauan City Batangas.
She is teacher by profession but working on her passion as an artist. She does portraits, illustrations, caricature and anime artworks.
She loves to paint doll-like human figures with unusual facials features like putting letters and shapes and put them in a dream-like setting using different media like acrylic and watercolor and considered it as her identity art.
This self taught artist is also known for using natural media like ash and plant extract in her works and she called it "natural watercolor paints" and featured in Reuters and different TV segments like Matanglawin(ABSCBN) and I bilib(GMA)
Some of her paintings are exhibited in different museums and galleries like Museo ni Jose Rizal sa Calamba Laguna, GSIS Museo Ng Sining and Art Asia.
Right now, she is still explore and doing more work of art as a way of expressing her love, ideals of beauty and imagination.
She hopes to create more historic masterpieces in the future.
