Mark Belicario (b. 1983) is a Filipino visual artist hailing from Cebu, Philippines. Specializing in oil on canvas, he discovered his passion for painting at a tender age. Engaging in the art form early on, Mark delved into workshops and diverse competitions, both local and national. While setbacks occasionally marked his journey through contests, triumphs mostly defined his artistic trajectory.
In 2016, Mark pursued a comprehensive four-year program in drawing and painting at the esteemed Aroma Art Atelier school, studying under the tutelage of Living Master Orley Ypon in 2016. Subsequently, in 2020, he ascended to the role of President at the Aroma Art Atelier. Among his notable accolades, Mark was honored as the Ani ng Dangal Awardee for Visual Art by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in 2021. Additionally, he secured the 18th position in The Culture Magazine's list of the top 59 World’s Greatest Living Painters in 2020. Mark's distinctions also include being a Finalist in the Art Renewal Center (ARC) International ARC Salon in 2020, clinching the Grand Prize in the World Wide Kitsch international art competition in 2019, achieving First Runner-Up in the Vision Petron Art Competition in 2010, and winning the Grand Prize at the inaugural Cebu AAP National Painting Competition in 2012.
Over the years, Belicario has actively participated in more than thirty exhibitions across the country since 2008.
