Megan Esguerra's love for the arts began when she first experienced the delicate movements of the paintbrush as it glided over the canvas, and how it left a beautiful trail of vibrant hues and different textures. She was four years old back then, but she knew that she had found her passion— the colorful world of oil, acrylic, and pastel.
She favors an impasto-impressionist style, which is evident in the thick textures and details of her work. She enrolled in a painting course at the Art Students League of New York to hone her skills while she was traveling to the US a couple of years back.
When she’s not with her paintbrush or sketchpad (for she also taught herself how to sketch), she creates beautiful music with her bow and violin. On other days, however, she can be seen at the gym practicing Muay Thai, something that keeps her grounded and centered.
She is also a marketing communications practitioner by profession. She holds a Masters degree in Marketing Communications from the De La Salle University, Manila, and a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Hult International Business School in San Francisco.
Through her art, Esguerra hopes to share a piece of herself and the world as she sees, feels, and dreams it.
