Ramon Piguing was born on August 31, 1961, and raised in Tanay, Rizal. He studied elementary and high school at San Ildefonso College. For his college education, he attended the Technological Institute of the Philippines, Manila, where he took up a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME).
Ramon is married to Jacklyn, who supports him strongly in his art, and they were blessed with four children. He was able to take special art lessons from Master Fernando Sena of the Kabtaan Tondo Art Group (KATAG). He also studied art at the Slims School of Fashion & Arts in Makati. To hone his skills, Ramon joined several group art shows, which included Ched Gallery, Makati Lopez Museum, Art Center Megamall, SM Art Center Cebu, PNB Long Gallery, and Philippine Heart Center, Q.C.
Today, Piguing is well-known for his unique paintings of flowers, especially orchids and koi. His art collectors vary from both local and abroad and have become his loyal supporters. He is widely regarded as one of today's most talented painters. Ramon shares: "My skill in art is truly a gift from God Almighty. He made me a better visual artist now. This is a dream I long nurtured when I was much younger, and I shall use this gift to glorify God, who gave me this talent."
