Roy Leo "Long" Lorono is a self taught artist from Calamba, Misamis Occidental. Secondary teacher by profession but chooses the path of a full time art practitioner. He is interested in capturing the intensity of emotion of his subjects through the vibrant hues rendered onto his canvas. His artistic style is influenced by a variety of genres, from the realism of Amorsolo, impressionism of Van Gogh, surreal works of Damijan Fric, strokes of Vladimir Volegov and other artists whom he looks up to. He had participated in numerous art exhibits and art auctions. He is also affiliated with art groups whom he has direct influences from artist friends.
