Spencer Ozo is a self-taught artist whose passion for painting has kept him busy and prolific, especially during the lockdowns caused by the pandemic. The dramatic and life-changing turn of events that he experienced during these past two years have greatly influenced his creative output and style.
He works with acrylic paint and mixed media, creating figurative and abstract works that depict animals and human figures against backgrounds of various moods and emotions. His style is unpredictable but always eye-catching, with a playful use of colors and shapes. Gold and white bars define his work, symbolizing prosperity, purity, and balance.
Born and raised in Baguio City, Spencer's art is greatly influenced by the diverse nature and culture of the region. He finished a degree in commerce and marketing from St. Louis University and subsequently became part of the hospitality industry. He previously worked with Baguio Country Club, Holland America Cruise Ship, and New World Hotel, and is currently the Assistant Front Office Manager at Conrad Manila.
