Viscon Apostol was born in Cagayan Valley and raised in Cabuyao, Laguna. He has always gravitated to art ever since he was a child. After finishing high school, he worked as a muralist for almost a decade. In 2017, he began to experiment with painting on canvas, which launched his career in the arts.
He is best known for his Tahanan series (small houses). His idea of the Filipino dream is to own a home, which is the reason behind depicting houses in his paintings in order to inspire others to follow their dreams.
Apostol's portrayal of houses gives a three-dimensional illusion with his technique in shading and the use of geometric forms for its composition. His energetic use of color adds a harmonious viewing experience and what truly brings his works to life, out of the canvas.
