Yolanda Batara is a self-taught painter, poet, and musician born in Marikina City. Yoland is a sales and marketing specialist by profession, previously based in Japan and California, USA. She graduated with a Bachelor in Business Management (CumLaude), a Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Computer Technology from P.U.P., and a Master in Business Administration at the Ateneo Graduate School of Business and Art Workshop from the University of the Philippines.
She loves conducting free art workshops like Brigada Eskwela of DepEd. She is currently affiliated with the following art groups: Philippine Pastel Artists, Inc. (Vice President for Internal Relations), Art Wednesday (Secretary), Filipino Portrait Artists Guild, Inc., Dynamic Art Group, Freedom Art Society, and Art Association of the Philippines.
She was previously a desk layout artist at Advance Screen System and an art designer at Arianna Designs. She participated in a few painting exhibits with sold artworks: “Handog Lingkod” by Filipino Portrait Artists Guild, Inc.; “Art in the Park” under Art Wednesday; “Art Wednesday 2021 online exhibit” by Frameplus Gallery; “Babae Sino Ka? 2021 Women's Month exhibit” by Freedom Art Society; Fernando B. Sena by Buenas Artes; Haring Ibon by PhilFAS; Art Wednesday “Art Heals” at the Renaissance Art Gallery in SM Megamall; Paskulay ’21 by Dynamic Art Group; Women’s Month exhibit 2023 with Art Corridor, San Pablo City; "Isang Libong Obra Para Sa Haring Agila” by DENR and Biodiversity Mgmt. Bureau 2023; PPA Kulay Pastel Juried Exhibit 2023; DAG Exhibit at PNP Museum 2023
She was also invited to be a judge in the 2021 poster-making contest of Brgy. JDLP, Marikina City. She hosted “Painting Gold” for Philippine Pastel Artists, Inc.
Her Artist’s Statement: “Painting God’s creation is my way of thanking the Lord for giving me skills and talent. I will use the gifts I received to share love with others.”
